Description

Wrap yourself in luxury with our Jumbo Cord Throw, featuring a plush velvet backing. Available in a variety of coastal-inspired colours from cobalt blue to cream, this 127x152cm throw is perfect for adding texture and warmth to your space with the jumbo cord pattern. Whether draped over your couch or bed, it's an inviting and stylish accessory, ideal for any living room or bedroom.

Our Stylist Says

I love this grey throw for its cosy, tactile appeal and versatile style. The jumbo cord texture adds visual interest and a modern twist on traditional throws, making it ideal for contemporary, Scandinavian, or Hygge-inspired interiors. It works particularly well layered over a neutral sofa or bed, providing both comfort and a stylish focal point. For practical styling tips, drape it loosely for a relaxed vibe, or fold it neatly at the foot of the bed or sofa for a polished look. Its neutral grey hue makes it easy to mix and match with various colour schemes and textures, adding warmth and softness to any space.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
