Description

If it's going to be messy — and yes, it probably will — at least let changing time be fun. We splashed on a cute, safari-inspired print to this mat, and THOUGHTFULLY DESIGNED it with a wipe-clean coating because...well, you know. It just seemed sensible. To help keep fussing to a minimum, we designed this mat with a fibre filling to keep baby comfortable while you take care of business. Literally. Proudly made in the UK, it's also lightweight so it's easy for taking round to visit relatives and friends.. Warning: Do not leave baby unattended whilst using a changing mat on a high surface.

Our Stylist Says

This safari-themed mat is a charming addition to a variety of nursery styles, especially those leaning towards playful, gender-neutral, or woodland-inspired themes. I love how its white background with subtle animal illustrations brings a fresh and calming vibe to the space without overwhelming it. It works well with natural woods, soft pastels, or simple monochrome palettes, making it versatile for different interior schemes. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral-toned storage and accessories, or adding a touch of greenery or rustic elements to enhance the safari feel. For a more curated look, consider layering with coordinating soft furnishings like cushions or wall art that echo the animal motif for a cohesive yet fun nursery.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
