Description

The Maya changing unit is the perfect storage companion, featuring three 34. L capacity drawers with recessed handles, enabling you to easily put away and quickly locate your little one's belongings. On top of the unit is a changing area capable of fitting a changing mat up to 80 x 46.5cm. Once the changing area is no longer required it can be removed to create a stylish, flat-top chest of drawers that can be used for years to come.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Obaby Maya changing unit for its clean, contemporary look that blends effortlessly into both modern and Scandinavian-inspired nurseries. The combination of white and acacia wood details adds warmth and texture, making it versatile for various colour palettes. It's practical too, with spacious drawers for storage and a sturdy top suitable for changing mats. For styling tips, consider pairing it with soft pastel accessories or a textured rug to soften the overall look. Placing a few decorative storage baskets nearby can also help keep essentials organised, making this piece both functional and stylish in a nursery or kid’s room setting.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
