Description

Our Rouen ottoman storage bed frame has a classic design that's enhanced with button detailing across the headboard. A handle and hydraulic arms facilitate an easy manual lift-up, revealing a functional and spacious storage space for spare linens. Sprung slats provide additional support for you and your mattress. Built with Smart Slats This bed frame is designed with wider slats at the shoulders, lumbar and feet. They provide maximum support for you and your mattress so that you experience perfect spinal alignment while you sleep. The standard slat caps are black so we have added grey slat caps to ensure that you know where to place the wider slats. Choose from one of our fabrics: Our Band A fabric, Topaz is woven to create a linen-effect feel Our Band A fabric, Saga is woven with man-made fibres, making it exceptionally durable and versatile Our Band B fabric, Erin has a velvet-style, chenille feel. It's woven with man-made fibres to create a beautifully soft yarn and can appear two-tone in different lights Our Band B fabric, Opulence is a soft and luxurious velvet-like fabric Our Band B fabric, Mole is a soft and cosy woven wool-blend. Piling and bobbling may occur naturally over time Our Band B fabric, Relaxed Linen is durable, resilient and versatile, woven from man-made and natural fibres Our Band C fabric, Aquaclean Harriet is made from a short, dense pile of velvet that has a soft, brushed finish. An Aquaclean treatment has been applied to this resilient fabric which means you can banish the majority of household stains with water. The treatment covers every fibre with an invisible coating so it doesn't need to be retreated or re-coated. It will naturally develop lines, scuffs and shading over time. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture before ordering. Pop into one of our shops to see the full range of colours and fabrics on offer. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

The John Lewis & Partners Rouen Ottoman bed is a versatile choice that combines classic elegance with practical storage solutions. I love how the tufted headboard adds a touch of traditional charm, making it suitable for both contemporary and more classic interiors. Its neutral upholstery allows for easy styling with a variety of colour schemes and bedding options. For a polished look, pair it with soft, layered textiles in muted tones or subtle patterns. Practically, the ottoman function is perfect for decluttering, especially in smaller bedrooms where storage space is at a premium. To style around it, keep surrounding furniture streamlined and minimal - adding a few decorative cushions or throws can enhance its inviting feel without overwhelming the space. It’s ideal for anyone seeking a stylish statement piece with added functionality.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
