The JH97 armchair is part of the craft heritage of the Fritz Hansen design house, with its long history of woodworking. The carved wooden structure is made from 8 individual pieces of wood, cut digitally before being carefully finished and assembled by hand. Elegant from every angle, the assemblies are extremely aesthetic. The frame with its slightly rounded edges is assembled by hand, in tribute to the artisan tradition of Danish heritage. JH97 brilliantly combines ancestral craftsmanship with an innovative, modern design. JH97 is both classic and modern, bold and simple, light yet strong. " Inspired by nature, the lines of the JH97 chair evoke those of a pelican: that bird with its long, broad wings, slightly curved body and distinctive beak. The rounded, contoured shape of the beak and body of the pelican is noticeable in the curved shapes of the frame and cushions. The JH97 lounge chair conveys a sensation of lightness equivalent to its expressive force.
