Description

With a beautiful velvet exterior featuring a Japanese garden design set against a teal blue background and a contrasting metallic gold inner, this collection of luxurious shades are handmade in Dorset with a classic drum shape. Perfect for creating a soft glow and a warm atmosphere.

Our Stylist Says

I love this lamp shade for its rich velvet texture and vibrant Japanese-inspired pattern, which brings a touch of colour and culture into a space. It works particularly well in eclectic, boho, or modern interiors that embrace bold accents and layered textures. Practical styling tips include pairing it with brass or matte black lamp bases to enhance its luxe feel, and placing it on a neutral surface like a white or grey sideboard to make the colours pop. It’s also a great feature piece for a bedside or reading lamp, where the warmth of the velvet diffuses light softly, creating a cosy atmosphere.

About Graham & Green

Founded in 1974, Graham & Green are a family business that started in Notting Hill, and have many pieces that bring touch of individuality and character to any space.

The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand

In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.

The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.

Evolution through Generations

Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.

They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.

Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.

Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.

Milestones and Memories

Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.

They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
