Description

Make a statement with the Herringbone Chenille Cushion in Ochre, a perfect blend of bold colour and rich texture. The warm ochre shade adds a vibrant yet sophisticated touch to any space, making it ideal for modern and rustic interiors alike. Its herringbone weave and soft chenille fabric create a plush and inviting finish.

Our Stylist Says

I love the herringbone chenille cushion in ochre for adding warmth and texture to both contemporary and traditional interiors. Its rich mustard hue is versatile, working particularly well in neutral or muted palettes, and can bring a cosy yet stylish vibe to sofas, armchairs or beds. Practical styling tips include pairing it with contrasting textures, such as velvet or linen, to create an inviting layered look. It also works well placed against darker or grey tones, really making the ochre pop. As a stylist, I’d recommend using it as a statement accent or mixing it with other cushions in complementary colours to make the space feel more curated and rich in texture.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
