An original Habitat style, this table’s minimalist design showcases the natural grain of the wood and adds warmth to your space. With a turned leg base, this table looks great placed in both contemporary and traditional settings;Extendable to suit your needs, this table can go from a 6 seater to either an 8 or 12 seater quickly and easily. Our Stylist Says

I love this tble for its timeless appeal and versatile design, making it a great statement piece in many interior styles. The oak finish brings warmth and natural texture, working beautifully in both traditional and modern settings, especially in country,Scandinavian, or coastal interiors. Its extending feature offers practicality for larger gatherings, so it's ideal for open-plan kitchens or dining rooms that double as social hubs. When styling, consider pairing it with simple, streamlined chairs for contemporary spaces or upholstered, patterned seats to add contrast and comfort. Keeping accessories minimal on the table allows the stunning timber grain to shine, while a well-chosen centrepiece can add personality without cluttering the clean aesthetic.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
