Our Stylist Says

The Barton rattan sideboard is a versatile piece that adds a touch of contemporary edge with its sleek black finish and natural rattan doors. It works well in both modern and eclectic interiors, offering a practical storage solution without compromising style. I love pairing it with minimalist decor to create contrast, or mixing it with textured accessories like woven baskets and metal accents for a layered look. For styling tips, consider placing decorative bowls or succulents on top to add visual interest, while keeping the inside organised with baskets or dividers. Its clean lines and neutral hues make it a flexible choice for living rooms, dining areas, or even bedrooms, providing both function and aesthetic appeal.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
