Saloua Raouda Choucair 1916–2017, was a Lebanese painter and sculptor. She is said to have been the first abstract artist in Lebanon and created ‘Composition in Blue Module’ in 1947–51 using the two basic elements of Islamic design – straight lines and curves. This bold work of geometric abstraction features blues, purples, browns and cream tones.
I love this candle for its versatile design and calming scent. The wild fig aroma adds a sophisticated touch without overpowering a space, making it ideal for living rooms or bedrooms. It works particularly well in minimalist or contemporary interiors thanks to its graphic, colourful label that can double as an accent piece. For styling, consider placing it on a coffee table or sideboard alongside neutral accessories to let it stand out, or pair it with natural textures like ceramics or wood to enhance its earthy vibe. It's a practical choice for adding warmth and ambience to a range of schemes, whether you prefer sleek modern interiors or more relaxed, organic looks.
