Description

The rich history of the Silk Road, and its many routes for trading silk and spice, wind in parallel with the beginnings of OKA and our founders’ travels around the globe in search of the wonderful and the whimsical. Many of our designs take inspiration from across the same route that the Silk Road travelled, from China to India, Europe and beyond. A decadent blend of dark fruits and red berries are wrapped in defining black amber and subtle spices for our Silk Road Candle. Rich with the heady fragrance of pomegranate – a ware that trod that very road – lighting this candle will send you on a journey through wondrous, lush pastures, calling to mind stories long told of bustling districts and dusty roads, colourful carriages, fruitful trees and sparkling rubies.

Our Stylist Says

I love this candle for its vibrant colour palette and versatile size, making it a great addition to both modern and eclectic interiors. Its Aruba Blue hue adds a pop of colour without overpowering, making it perfect for grouping on coffee tables, sideboards, or open shelving to create visual interest. For styling, try experimenting with layered textures by pairing it with natural elements like woven trays or ceramic accessories. It works particularly well in coastal, bohemian, or transitional settings, where its bold shade can act as a focal point. Practical tip: place it in a well-ventilated area to enjoy the fragrance, and consider pairing it with neutral-toned surrounds to really let the colour stand out.
