I’m a big fan of the Lars desk because its slim walnut legs and soft grey top slot easily into both Scandi-inspired and mid-century modern schemes without dominating the room. Its compact footprint makes it ideal for city flats or a bedroom study nook, and the integrated drawer is just deep enough for notebooks and stationery without adding bulk.
For styling, keep the desktop uncluttered - a slim LED task lamp, a neat pen tray and a small potted plant are all you need. Tuck cables away with adhesive clips under the tabletop, and pair it with a cushioned, armless chair so you can slide it right in when not in use.

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
