Description

Bring a scandi style to your bedside table or sideboard with the Hardy Cage Table Lamp with Bubble Glass Shade. Finished in matte black, this table lamp features a box frame design for a modern geometric aesthetic. It also features a gorgeous cylindrical glass shade within that looks ideal when paired with a separately sold vintage filament light bulb, projecting a warm accent glow outwards.

Our Stylist Says

The again industrial-inspired cage table lamp with its bubble glass shade is a fantastic addition for adding a contemporary edge. I love its matte black finish and transparent bubble glass, which give it a sleek yet tactile feel. It works particularly well in modern or minimalist interiors, as well as in more eclectic spaces where it can serve as a statement piece. For styling tips, place it on a side table or a console to create a cozy, inviting glow - pairing it with textured ceramics or metals can help highlight its industrial charm. Practicality-wise, it’s versatile enough for living rooms, bedrooms, or even study areas, offering both ambient lighting and a stylish focal point.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
