Description

This understated and timeless Radius 3 seat dining bench is beautifully crafted from lacquered solid oak, with rounded corners featuring beautiful bridal joints. Radius bench would look great with a dining table but would also be at home in you hallway or bedroom. Part of the Radius dining furniture range designed by award winning Simon Pengelly for Habitat. Why is it a Design Classic? Because although it was designed 15 years ago, people still ask about it in store every day.

Our Stylist Says

I love this bench for its clean, minimalist design and solid oak finish, which adds warmth and natural texture to a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in modern, scandinavian, or rustic spaces, where its simplicity can highlight other statement pieces or natural materials. Practical styling tips include pairing it with soft furnishings like cushions or throws for casual dining or seating areas, or using it as a versatile surface in an entryway or hallway-adding baskets underneath for storage. Its durable oak build makes it both a functional and stylish addition that can seamlessly blend into both contemporary and traditional settings.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
