Description

We love this smart, white pendant light. A modern update of a vintage style, it comes in easy-to-live-with white and silver. So versatile too. Super as a single light in a small room, it also looks great in a group. Try hanging a row over a long dining table? A generous length of lead gives you lots of options. Hang it high in the kitchen to fill the room with a warm, golden glow or fix it low for focused light above your workspace. That works.

Our Stylist Says

I love this pendant because it offers a modern yet understated look that works well in a variety of interiors. Its off-white hue makes it versatile, ideal for both contemporary and minimalist spaces, as well as more eclectic or Scandi styles. The design lends itself to being a subtle statement piece without overpowering a room. For practical styling, consider hanging it over a kitchen island, breakfast bar, or in a reading nook to create a cosy, inviting atmosphere. Pair it with warm filament bulbs or dimmer switches to adjust the mood, and keep the surrounding décor simple to let the shape and colour of the pendant do the talking.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
