Description

Inspire a modern look within your kitchen or dining room with the Hardy Cage Ceiling Pendant Bar with Bubble Glass Shades. Finished in matte black, this ceiling light features a box frame design for a minimalist aesthetic that suits scandi interiors perfectly. It also comes with gorgeous glass cylindrical shades that are perfect for displaying a vintage filament lightbulb within, looking ideal when styled over a kitchen island or dining table.

Our Stylist Says

I love this pendant bar for its clean, industrial vibe, balanced by the soft bubble glass shades that diffuse light beautifully. It works particularly well in modern and contemporary interiors, especially over kitchen islands, dining tables, or in open-concept living spaces. Its matte black finish adds a touch of sophistication and contrast against neutral palettes, making it versatile across different colour schemes. For styling tips, consider pairing it with exposed shelving or metal accents to create a cohesive industrial look. To get the most out of its design, ensure the bulbs used are clear or filament style to highlight the vintage-inspired charm of the shades. Overall, it's a practical yet stylish choice that makes a statement without overwhelming the space.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
