Description

Beautifully textured, the Immy large grey flat weave rug is hand woven with accents of dusty pink stripes and shots of teal blue, giving it a contemporary look. Made from a hand-spun wool in India, the rug is hard wearing yet soft underfoot. Great for the living or dining room, the rug is part of the Immy range and is available in a range of sizes. Hand made. 100% wool. Professional clean only. Size L240, W170cm. Grey stripes.

Our Stylist Says

I love this rug because of its versatile colour palette and tactile texture, making it easy to style into various interiors. Its grey and pink tones provide a gentle pop of colour without overwhelming a space, so it works well in modern, Scandinavian, or even slightly eclectic settings. The flatweave design makes it practical for high-traffic areas or underneath furniture, as it’s easy to vacuum and maintain. For styling tips, pair it with neutral-toned sofas or wooden furniture to create a calming, balanced look, while adding in textiles or accessories that pick up the pink to tie the scheme together. It’s a great choice for living rooms or bedrooms where comfort and understated style are the priority.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
