Description

When it's made for you, you know you'll love it. Exclusive to Habitat, this 3-seater sofa brings together traditional upholstery techniques with key notes of mid-century Scandi design. Our Stylist Says

I love this teal sofa for its versatile yet vibrant colour, which can brighten up both neutral and more eclectic interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary spaces, adding a pop of colour without feeling overwhelming, especially paired with soft greys or warm woods. For styling, consider placing it against a light, textured wall to make the colour pop, and accessorise with complementary cushions or throws in contrasting shades like mustard or blush for added visual interest. Its simple, clean lines and ash legs give it a modern feel that can easily adapt to a variety of interiors, from cosy living rooms to more minimal schemes, making it a practical yet stylish choice.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
