Description

The Etta oak bench has a gently rounded, veneered top and elegant, tapered legs in solid oak. The bench looks perfect paired with the dining table and its saturated dark stain accentuates the design's strong curved silhouette without obscuring its grain. Exclusive to Habitat and also available in natural oak, the bench is made in Estonia and has a matt lacquer finish to protect its surface.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this bench for its clean, minimalist look and warm oak finish, which complements both modern and Scandi-inspired interiors. It's versatile enough to work well in a dining room, as extra seating in a hallway, or even styled as a statement piece at the foot of a bed. When styling, consider pairing it with plush cushions or throws to add texture and comfort, or keep it simple for a more streamlined feel. The natural oak lends itself beautifully to layering with other wood tones or contrasting materials like metal or soft fabrics, making it an adaptable choice that can enhance a variety of design schemes.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
