Designed in-house, exclusively for Habitat by David Hutcheson, the Acciaio oak and glass dining table takes inspiration from 1930s tubular furniture. Eye-catchingly simple, its sleek chrome frame is complemented by the natural grain of FSC oak veneer and a tempered glass top. A way to curate prescious memories and moments within the home, the glass top lifts off transforming the table into a large picture frame. A modern take on retro styling, this table adds a touch of theatre to the home. Part of the specially commissioned collection in celebration of Habitat's 60 years of British design. About Habitat
The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
