Description

Marvel at the artisan qualities of these navy and black woven lampshades with white and grey dashes and splashes of blue. Each one is handmade on an iron frame using the traditional Ikat dyeing techniques that originated in Indonesia to create an entirely unique print. Read our  Lampshade Guide  to find the right size. 10" (AUQ1014): H16 x Diameter 25cm. 12" (AUQ1013): H19 x Diameter 30cm. 14" (AUQ1012): H21 x Diameter 35cm. 16" (AUQ1011): H26 x Diameter 40cm. Ikat fabric outer lined with soft plain white cotton on the inside. Powder-coated white iron frame. Features a tapered shape. These products are handmade and hand-dyed so the shape, pattern and finish may vary and seamlines may be visible. Available in a variety of sizes, our shades are suitable to use with lamps and ceiling lights. Please note, when paired with a ceiling light the shade may sit slightly lower due to the position of the fitting, reducing the amount of light that's emitted.

Our Stylist Says

I love this lamp shade for its bold Ikat pattern and versatile black colour, making it a great statement piece without overwhelming a space. It works particularly well in contemporary or eclectic interiors, adding a touch of pattern and texture to table lamps or pendant fittings. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral or monochrome shades to let its pattern take centre stage, or using it in a layered lighting scheme for added visual interest. It’s especially effective in living rooms or bedrooms where a graphic, modern touch can elevate the overall decor.

About Graham & Green

Founded in 1974, Graham & Green are a family business that started in Notting Hill, and have many pieces that bring touch of individuality and character to any space.

The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand

In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.

The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.

Evolution through Generations

Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.

They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.

Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.

Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.

Milestones and Memories

Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.

They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
