Our Stylist Says

I really like this three-ball bay tree as it adds a classical touch without the need for maintenance. It works particularly well in transitional or traditional interiors, but it can also bring a bit of structure to minimalist or contemporary spaces. For styling tips, place it where it can be seen, like an entrance hall or a dining room corner, to make an immediate impact. It’s versatile enough to work on a sideboard or as a centrepiece on a console table. Just avoid overcrowding with other items so its architectural form remains clear, and give it a quick wipe to keep it looking fresh. Overall, it’s a practical, elegant choice that adds greenery without the fuss of live plants.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.
