Description

Functional furniture for busy homes. This modern coffee table incorporates two storage areas, with one section designed with a back panel and the other section designed with a contrasting open back. Less clutter, calmer space. It's made from sturdy timber in a selection of painted finishes and it's accented with brass-effect detail. Supplied flat-packed, but assembly is straightforward and all the tools you'll need are included. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love this one as a versatile addition to modern living spaces. Its clean lines and understated design lend themselves well to contemporary interiors, especially in minimalist settings or Scandinavian-inspired schemes. The open shelf and closed compartment offer practical storage solutions for media devices, books, or decorative accessories, helping keep the space organised. For styling, consider pairing it with sleek vases, art books, or statement lamps to add personality without cluttering. It works particularly well with a colour palette of neutrals or contrasting colours for a striking look. To keep it looking fresh, use stacking trays or baskets on the open shelf for a tidy, stylish finish-this makes it easy to swap out items and keep everything looking neat.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
