Competition chair... Pure lines and incredible lightness for this aluminium chair with its extremely successful design. A real featherweight (just 4 kilos), this chair is rock solid thanks in particular to a specific and very technical assembly of the different parts. Highly ergonomic, the Fromme chair stands out with the absorbers placed under the seat which, like shock absorbers on a car, provide flexibility and suppleness for optimal comfort. The slightly curved shape of the seat and inclined plane on its front further increase comfort. A confirmed cyclist, Canadian designer Yom Chung used to climb Fromme Mountain outside Vancouver and was fascinated by the technical performance of his bike. He sought to rediscover the efficiency it brought him to reinvent the most common object and yet the greatest challenge for a designer: a chair. This new addition to the line of avant-garde products from Petite Friture proves once again that the brand gives young designers a chance and trusts them to create key pieces for its collections. Each colour gives a new conception of the sleek design of this incredibly light and efficient chair. Made of aluminium, it can be used both indoors and out and is easily stackable.
The Fromme stacking chair is a versatile piece that works well in a variety of interiors, from modern to minimalist spaces. I love its sleek aluminium frame and understated black finish, which make it practical yet stylish, perfect for both dining rooms and multi-purpose areas. Its stacking capability makes it ideal for smaller homes or spaces that require flexibility in seating. For styling tips, try pairing it with colourful or textured tableware to create contrast or keep the look pared-back with monochrome palettes for a seamless, contemporary feel. It’s a great choice if you’re after functional furniture with a clean, design-led aesthetic.
