Our Stylist Says
I always keep one of these canvas folding stools to hand - its slim, powder-coated frame and muted grey seat slip into virtually any setting without dominating. It’s ideal for contemporary urban apartments or Scandi-inspired schemes, and its simple silhouette sits equally well in a pared-back industrial loft or a relaxed coastal pad. Styling tip: use it as a quick extra seat or a low side table - top it with a small tray for drinks or a stack of art books. Tuck it beside your hall bench for last-minute put-ons, or keep one by the window as a plant stand. When not in use, it folds away neatly, so you can maintain clean lines and uncluttered surfaces.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
