Description
"Created by Japanese designer Yuji Okitsu, the Focus pendant lamp is composed of mobile lenses which balance atop each other, and which rotate to diffuse light in all directions. Flat and lightweight, the transparent PMMA lenses contain the LED sources. They're mounted onto aluminium structures and hung from the ceiling, just like a mobile. Poetic and ethereal, this light fitting interacts with its surroundings to create an ever-changing space. The surroundings are fragmented via the lenses, with a "distorting" effect. The various lenses capture, collect and diffuse the natural ambient lighting in all directions and at all angles. Focus balances and turns slowly, responding to the surrounding air flow, and can morph into multiple configurations. Once the light is switched on, the discs are illuminated, creating an exceptional lighting style. Focus' look will remind you of soap bubbles, gently floating through space.
