This levitating bulb turns on itself, in a continuous rotation movement. Its levitation is made possible thanks to innovative magnetic technology built into its base. The bulb is powered wirelessly by induction. To turn the light on or off, simply touch the wooden base. Even turned off, the bulb continues to levitate and turns around on itself. With its attractive LED bulb (supplied) and pure natural wooden base, Flyte combines a superb vintage design with state-of-the-art technology. The wooden base also acts as a wireless charging station for your smartphone. Just put your mobile on the base to charge it wirelessly (only phones with QI Wireless technology already built in can be recharged). The Flyte lamp was designed by Simon Morris, a Swedish enthusiast in the phenomenon of levitation. He wanted his futuristic lighting to be eco-friendly, too: Flyte is made in Sweden with certified sustainable wood. It comes with a low-energy-consumption LED bulb: the life expectancy of the bulb is estimated at 22 years (based on 6 hours’ use a day).
