Our Stylist Says
I really like the First Choice lighting set; they’re a versatile addition to any space. These panels work especially well in contemporary or minimalist interiors due to their clean, uncluttered look. The white plastic diffusers help create a soft, even light that’s perfect for workspaces, kitchens, or garages where brightness and clarity are key. Practical styling tips include mounting them flush to the ceiling in a grid layout for a sleek, seamless appearance or mixing and matching with colour or patterned panels to add a bit of personality to a utility or home office area. They’re especially handy in spaces that need good, glare-free illumination without drawing too much attention to the fixtures themselves.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
