Description

Our Ferris Outdoor Polycarbonate Wall Lantern with PIR Sensor is the perfect addition for lighting your home’s exteriors, with a PIR sensor that activates the light whenever motion is detected – great for utilising your space in the dark or pulling attention to any unexpected activity. This wall fitting has a black finish and a traditional design bringing a cosy, homely environment throughout your arrangements. Able to withstand most weather conditions, the fitting comes with a handy IP44 rating, as well as a polycarbonate material ideal for resisting salt corrosion.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this wall lantern for its blend of traditional charm and modern practicality. Its black finish allows it to work well in a variety of settings, from classic cottages to contemporary urban exteriors. The polycarbonate exterior makes it durable and suitable for outdoor conditions, while the PIR sensor adds convenience by automatically illuminating entryways when needed. For styling, consider pairing it with dark brickwork or timber facades to create a cohesive, timeless look. It’s also smart to position it near outdoor seating areas or garden paths, enhancing both safety and ambience without overpowering the overall aesthetic.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
