Description

Light your home’s exterior spaces with the Ferris Outdoor Polycarbonate Wall Lantern. Ideal for lighting any patio or garden with a stylish look, this fitting has a black finish and a traditional design perfect for bringing a serene look to your space. Perfect for creating a practical pool of light, the light within illuminates the area so that you can navigate your home with ease. This wall lantern features a handy IP44 rating able to withstand most weather conditions, and also a polycarbonate material perfect for lighting homes along the coast due to its salt corrosion resistance.

Our Stylist Says

I love this outdoor lantern for its classic yet resilient design, perfect for adding a timeless touch to garden or porch exteriors. The black finish and polycarbonate construction make it both stylish and highly practical, offering durability against the elements while maintaining a sleek, understated look. It works particularly well in traditional or coastal-inspired outdoor spaces, complementing materials like brick, wood, or stone. For styling, consider positioning it next to a wooden door or along a pathway, and use warm LED filament bulbs to create a welcoming atmosphere without overwhelming the space. This fixture is an easy, stylish upgrade that provides both function and form in outdoor lighting schemes.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
