Description

The Feliz solid oak sideboard with 4 doors is made from large planks of European oak that showcase the natural colour variations of the wood. The design sits on industrial-style black steel legs with complementary door knobs, the 2 end doors have a single shelf while the central section offers full-height storage for taller items such as bottles and carafes. Part of the Feliz range, which includes a dining table and bench, the sideboard is made in Estonia and exclusive to Habitat, and has an oiled finish that adds to the wood's warm hue and highlights the beauty of its grain.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this solid oak sideboard because of its clean lines and versatile style. It works well in both modern and traditional interiors, especially those with a Scandinavian or industrial edge. The natural oak finish adds warmth without feeling heavy, making it a great storage piece for dining rooms, living spaces, or even hallways. Practical styling tips include keeping the surface uncluttered with a few decorative trays or ceramics, and using the inside for organising tableware or linens. Pairing it with complementary natural textures, like woven baskets or soft textiles, can help create a balanced and inviting look.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
