I’m a fan of the Boston extendable table for its clean lines and substantial stone-effect top paired with a sculptural metal base. It sits equally well in urban lofts, Scandi-inspired schemes or pared-back contemporary dining rooms.
Styling-wise, keep the centre simple - perhaps a shallow ceramic bowl or two matt vases - and layer a runner to soften the surface. Choose chairs in muted leather or wool tones to balance the grey, then pull out the extension leaf when you have extra guests and neatly tuck it away afterwards.
