Description

Designed by the German architect Egon Eiermann in 1949, the SE42 Dining Chair is expertly crafted by PLEASE WAIT to be SEATED. Stripping design back to its bare elements, the chair features a beautifully grained natural beech seat resting on three legs in the same material. Showcasing elegant curves and an organically shaped seat, the SE42 Chair is a timeless design classic that is bound to suit any dining space. One of Germany's most renowned architects and designers, Egon Eiermann had a simple, minimalistic approach to design. Inspired by architects such as Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and Walter Gropius, his unique designs are as functional as they are beautiful. Please note: This is an ex-display piece and therefore may show signs of wear proportional with use. The utmost effort is made to accurately showcase each intricacy and imperfection, and this piece is sold as seen.

Our Stylist Says

This seat offers a great blend of natural beech and sleek black accents, making it versatile for both modern and Scandinavian-inspired interiors. I love how the simple, streamlined design can complement a minimalist dining space or be mixed with eclectic or vintage pieces for added character. Practical styling tips include pairing it with a wooden or glass table to highlight its natural tones, or using colourful or textured cushions for comfort and a touch of personality. Its compact size makes it ideal for smaller spaces, while its timeless look ensures it won’t go out of style. Overall, it’s a functional yet stylish option that can effortlessly elevate a dining area.
