The Panton Wire modular shelving system was designed in 1971 by Danish designer Verner Panton (1926 - 1998), considered one of the most influential designers of the 20th century. The shelves are made from steel wire, Verner Panton's signature material. Steel wires form a simple, repetitive geometric pattern that gives Panton Wire a dynamic, changing expression. Ethereal, the open structure is ethereal and balanced. Panton Wire shelves come in two shapes: cube and rectangle. Units can be used on their own - as Side tables or Bedside tables - or stacked - creating shelving systems or space dividers of variable geometry. Each Panton Wire shelf is supplied with 4 Assembly clips, 4 removable legs and 2 Wall fastening stands. Placed on the floor, the Panton Wire shelf can support a maximum of 40kg. Wall-mounted, it can support a maximum of 10kg. You can accessorize your Units by adding an interior shelf or top Tray (shelf and top Tray sold separately).Now reissued by Montana, the Panton Wire system has not aged a day!
