Price History

Description

Design. The Teramo dining chair in pale oak is timelessly elegant. Slightly more formal in style than the Kitchen chair, its back has nine slim slats curving inwards to support the back. The cushioned seat is upholstered in a soft yet durable cream fabric. The thoughtful detailing is characteristically ercol.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Ercol Teramo Slatted Dining Chair because its clean lines and warm brown oak finish give it a versatile appeal. It works well in a variety of interiors, from classic to contemporary, adding warmth and natural texture to the dining space. For styling, I’d suggest pairing it with neutral-toned tableware and soft textiles like linen napkins for a relaxed look, or mixing it with other wooden pieces for a cohesive, earthy vibe. Practical tips include layering with cushions for extra comfort or mixing different chair styles around the table to create an inviting, eclectic feel. Its timeless design makes it a reliable choice that can adapt as your interior evolves.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
