Description
Conceptualised by designer and engineer Jean Prouvé for Vitra in 1950, the solid natural oak EM Table was designed for the ‘Maison Tropicale’ project. Resting on a cream-hued powder-coated metal base, the deep tabletop is crafted from sturdy solid natural oak to create a finish that will enhance all dining areas. With every detail governed by its construction, the table follows a truly practical aesthetic. A sign of Prouvé’s engineering background, the table’s canted legs are connected by a crossbar, a structural force that is typically only seen at work in engineering structures.
