A monochrome typographic take on The British Isles and its counties, by artist Philip Sheffield. This fine art-quality print on 210gsm acid-free archival paper is framed in obeche wood in a choice of finishes. The acrylic glaze is light in weight and optically the same as glass. Ready to hang on your wall, it's made in the UK in an exclusive size for John Lewis & Partners. Born in London, Philip Sheffield studied Graphic Design and Printmaking at Hornsey College of Art. Now based at his printmaking studio in Suffolk, he works in many disciplines from printmaking, painting, graphic design and 3D design. Philip has an eclectic range of styles and likes to challenge himself with new materials and techniques to continue developing his designs. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?
I love theBritain’s-eye view of the East End Print; it offers a modern, graphic twist on traditional map art. It works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist interiors, where its monochrome palette can add visual interest without overwhelming the space. For styling, I suggest pairing it with clean-lined furniture and keeping surrounding accessories simple to allow the print to stand out. It also lends itself well to display in a hallway or living room, either hung alone or as part of a curated gallery wall. To give it extra impact, consider placing it above a neutral sofa or console table, where its bold silhouette can serve as a focal point.
