Description

Made of cerused oak and upholstered in a sumptuous grey velvet, our Duke armchair is a truly timeless piece. Featuring cascading arms, plaited back detailing and traditional caster wheeled legs, this armchair will make a luxurious addition to your living space.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Duke grey velvet armchair for its timeless elegance and versatile colour. Its deep, plush velvet adds a touch of luxury without feeling overly formal, making it perfect for both classic and contemporary interiors. It works well in living rooms, reading nooks, or even in bedroom seating areas, pairing nicely with neutral or bold colour schemes. Practical styling tips include adding textured cushions for comfort and layering with a soft throw to create a cosy vibe. To keep it looking its best, position it away from direct sunlight and consider occasional professional cleaning, especially given the velvet fabric. Overall, it’s a stylish, comfortable choice that can elevate a variety of interiors.

About Graham & Green

Founded in 1974, Graham & Green are a family business that started in Notting Hill, and have many pieces that bring touch of individuality and character to any space.

The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand

In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.

The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.

Evolution through Generations

Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.

They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.

Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.

Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.

Milestones and Memories

Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.

They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
