Mineral composition… Inspired by Japanese minimalism, the Distinct Side side table has a complex and unstructured structure on two levels with perfect balance. This geometric construction is characterised by strict, straight lines, the intersection of horizontal and vertical planes. The minimalism of its construction contrasts with the richness of the textures and colours of the mineral material evoking an abstract neoplasticism. This table is entirely made of acrylic stone (an innovative material composed of a mixture of minerals, resin and pigments). This material has the appearance of stone and is very resistant to stains, chemicals and even heat. Distinct presents an assembly of different types of stones (marble, granite, concrete) expressing a palette of radically different minerals. The clever thing here, then, is to have managed to create a coherent whole, by composing a harmony on several levels.
This side table is a fantastic example of contemporary design that works well in both minimalist and eclectic interiors. The mixed materials and colours give it a modern edge, making it a versatile piece that can lift a neutral space or complement a bold, colourful scheme. I love how it can double as a statement piece or work subtly as a functional surface. Practical styling tips include pairing it with sculptural lamps or small plants for added visual interest, and using it next to a sofa or bed for easy access to essentials. Its multi-hued, layered look lends itself to creating a curated, gallery-like feel, especially when combined with other textured or colourful accessories.
