I’m a fan of this tall wide shelf unit because its neutral oak-effect finish and clean lines slot neatly into Scandi, contemporary or modern farmhouse schemes. The adjustable shelves mean you can accommodate a mix of books, storage boxes and larger display pieces, while its slim profile makes it ideal for hallway nooks or home offices.
For styling, group books by height and colour in threes or fives, then break up each shelf with a small plant or framed photo. Use matching woven baskets on lower shelves to conceal clutter and keep the overall look balanced. A simple LED strip light above the top shelf can also draw attention to your favourite pieces.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
