The creative collaboration between the renowned British-Israeli chef Yotam Ottolenghi and the artist Ivo Bisigo has resulted in hand-painted ceramic vases. The Sicilian vases are a journey from the dining table to the outdoors. "In Sicily, where I grew up, you eat at the kitchen table and enjoy the view of the colourful balconies with their beautiful flowers," says Ivo Bisigo. Sicily reflects Ottolenghi's lush cooking style and is a tribute to the sun, colours and passion of Bisigo's homeland. Handmade: each product is unique and may vary slightly from the images
I love this vase for its vibrant, hand-painted design which instantly adds colour and personality to a space. It works particularly well in eclectic or bohemian interiors, but can also make a fun statement in more minimalist schemes when styled with simple greenery or dried flowers. Practical tips include placing it on a side table or shelf as a standalone piece or pairing it with subtly textured textiles and neutral backgrounds to really let its bold pattern shine. Since it’s ceramic and stands at a manageable height, it’s also ideal for showcasing smaller floral arrangements or even as a decorative piece on its own.
