Description

I’m a fan of the Davenport bench because its fresh ivory base and oak top slot effortlessly into both Scandi-style and modern-farmhouse schemes, while hiding away clutter in the deep lift-up seat. It works equally well in an entrance hall (for shoe storage and a place to sit) or at the foot of a bed for extra linen space. To style, place a slim cushion or folded throw on top, tuck a couple of woven baskets inside for scarves or toys, and add a low plant or stack of coffee-table books at one end to balance height.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
