Description

Darcy Fringed Easyfit Shade, Blue

Our Stylist Says

I love how this Darcy fringed shade adds a relaxed, yet stylish touch to any space. Its soft blue hue makes it versatile for both contemporary and eclectic interiors, particularly accents in bedrooms or living rooms where colour and texture can transform the vibe. The fringed detail gives it a slightly boho feel but remains modern enough to work in more polished settings. For styling tips, consider pairing it with brass or matte black fittings to create contrast, or let it be the statement piece in a neutral colour scheme. It works well in smaller spaces or as a focal point where you want to introduce colour and texture without overwhelming the room.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
