Description
Two in one…The Cupido project was born from a desire to merge two different worlds: technical lighting and decorative lighting. Cupido consists of a long tube of LED light that pierces a fabric lampshade with a dual personality. The black aluminium tube contains two LED strips that run its full length. The LED strip at the top of the tube provides indirect lighting, while the LED strip at the bottom provides direct lighting. Both types of lighting can be controlled separately via the remote control supplied or via Bluetooth using a free smartphone app. The plain charcoal grey exterior of the lampshade is sober and elegant. The lampshade contains a secret life: inside, a colourful and poetic graphic world flourishes, a true invitation to escape. The inside of the lampshade is decorated with a superb illustration: an Asian woman’s face of disturbing beauty. Cupido offers a subtle game of transparency. The pattern printed inside the lampshade can be made out due to the transparency once the light is on, creating a magical effect of depth. Cupido is an inhabited, breathing, fully existing lamp.
