Description

The crowning glory in any space – whether modern or traditional – Column lays to rest the commonly-asked question: marble VS wooden dining table? With both a generous marble top and wooden pedestal base, the answer is, quite simply, both. Not only does each component add to the glamorous aesthetic of this showstopper – the marble featuring mottled white, pale blue and mocha veining – but they’re designed for functionality, too: the surface is hardwearing and expansive; while the pedestal enables plenty of legroom. Able to accommodate between four to six of your nearest and dearest, now all that’s left to decide is who’s going to make the cut?

Our Stylist Says

I’m particularly drawn to the column marble table for its clean silhouette and the way its natural marble top balances the warmth of the fluted timber base. It feels equally at home in a pared-back Scandi setting or a more eclectic, layered interior - the neutral stone works brilliantly against both white walls and richer, inky tones. For styling, keep centrepieces low so you don’t obscure guests’ views. A simple ceramic bowl or a small cluster of potted herbs works well. Pair with upholstered or bent-wood chairs in muted fabrics to soften the lines, and position a slimline pendant light directly above to emphasise the table’s form without overwhelming the room.
