I’m a big fan of this floating oak shelf for its clean lines and warm tone - it instantly lifts a room without the bulk of a traditional bookcase. It works especially well in Scandi-inspired, contemporary or minimalist interiors, where its light oak grain complements neutral walls and simple colour palettes.
For styling, mount it at eye level and build small vignettes in odd numbers: a stack of paper-back novels, a sculptural vase or two, and a trailing plant for texture. Keep heavier items towards the wall bracket end and leave some breathing space around each object. If you have more than one, stagger them vertically or horizontally to create a streamlined gallery look.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
