The Colorado is a blend of soft white painted finish and oak woodgrain effect melamine tops, which are easy to clean and hardwearing. This range is a fresh approach to affordable furniture. I’m a fan of this low white bookcase for its clean lines and compact footprint, making it ideal where space is tight. Its neutral finish suits a range of schemes - from Scandi and modern farmhouse to coastal or minimalist urban flats.
For styling, mix books with a few decorative objects and small plants to break up the shelving. Use woven baskets on the bottom shelf for hidden storage and keep the middle shelves light by alternating vertical book stacks with horizontal piles topped by a simple candle or ceramic piece. In a hallway it doubles as a landing spot for keys; in a living room it works well alongside a sofa without overpowering the sight lines.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
