Price History

Description

The Charlotte flush chandelier means that you can have the elegance of a chandelier but for a small space. The beads swag onto a central chrome plate and still look just as dramatic as its matching empire chandelier. The long tail on the Charlotte flush chandelier just adds to it's drama.

Our Stylist Says

I love this chandelier for adding a touch of glamour to both classic and contemporary interiors. Its crystal embellishments catch the light beautifully, making it ideal for living rooms, dining areas, or even bedrooms where a statement piece is desired. To style it effectively, consider pairing with simple, neutral decor to let the light fixture shine, or contrast with luxe textures and metallic accents for a more opulent look. Practical tip: suspend it at the right height-about 30-35cm above tables or surfaces-to optimise its visual impact and avoid it feeling overwhelming in smaller spaces. This piece works especially well in rooms with high ceilings or where you want to introduce a refined, sophisticated detail.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
