Description

The enchanting Cesta and Cestita Lighting Collection was originally designed in 1962 by Miguel Milá, showcasing handcrafted constructions with traditionally steam-bent or metal and leather structures. A beautiful decorative object as well as a functional and ambient light, the Cesta and Cestita lights showcase opaline shades for a diffused emanation that adapts to every space. Crafted in steam-bent cherry wood for a rustic aesthetic, or a metal frame and optional leather handle for a more streamlined and contemporary look, the Cesta and Cestita Lighting Collection is distinctive and simple, the perfect infusion of understated iconic style for your home. Miguel Milá was a pioneer of his generation; born in the 1950s, Spain's industry was in crisis, meaning Milá grew up in a time where handmade things were not only the norm, but necessity. This drove Milá to design and create lamps and furniture that remains renowned to this day, and his work is now known as the epitome of Catalan design. Our Stylist Says

I really like this little lamp for its sleek, modern look that instantly adds a touch of contemporary style to any space. The opal and cherry colour combo works beautifully in both minimalist and more eclectic interiors, offering a subtle pop of colour without overpowering the surroundings. It’s particularly effective when placed on side tables, consoles, or shelves where it can serve as both a functional light source and a design statement. For styling tips, consider pairing it with similarly toned ceramic or wooden accents to create a cohesive look, or position it alongside artwork and books to build a curated, inviting feel. It’s perfect for adding soft ambient light, making it a versatile addition to living rooms, bedrooms or even workspaces.
