Description

Inspire a modern aesthetic in your interior with the Carter Flush Ceiling Light. This flush fitting is ideal for industrial décor due to the bronze finish complemented perfectly by the smoke glass shade, looking ideal when paired with out of our separately sold vintage filament light bulbs. It also is ideal for low ceilings such as in hallways or landings due to the minimal drop height.

Our Stylist Says

I love this industrial flush ceiling light for its striking yet versatile design. The bronzed finish adds warmth and a hint of vintage charm, making it a great choice for schemes that blend modern with rustic or industrial styles. It works particularly well in open-plan living areas, kitchens, or hallways where a statement fixture is desired without overwhelming the space. For practical styling tips, consider pairing it with matte black or bronze accents, and keep surrounding décor simple to let the light's design shine. Its spherical shape also makes it easy to hang in spaces with lower ceilings, offering both practicality and a contemporary edge.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
